Culture & History

From castles and battle sites to museums and heritage sites Britain is brimming with culture and history. If you are looking to immerse yourself, there a few better options than Britain - magnificent cathedrals, stone circles and ancient forts. Here are a few of our top places to visit:

Skara Brae Neolithic Village - Orkney

In 1850, a storm disturbed the dunes on the main island of Orkney revealing this 5000 year old prehistoric village. Explore the village linked by covered passageways and see ancient homes fitted with stone beds, dressers and seats now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stonehenge - Wiltshire

After 5000 years the ancient stone circle of Stonehenge is still an awe-inspiring day out, aligned with the rising and setting of the sun at the solstices, the exact purpose still remains a mystery.

Warwick Castle - Warwick

Built by William the Conqueror in 1068, Warwick Castle has been home to the powerful Earls of Warwick, many of which met untimely and violent deaths. At Warwick Castle you can immerse yourself in thousands of years of jaw-dropping history.

St Paul's Cathedral - London

One of many historical sites to visit in London, the famous dome dominates London's skyline, and is England's architectural masterpiece. The present cathedral was designed and built by Sir Christopher Wren and completed in 1710 but a cathedral has stood on this site since 604AD.
