The Peak District

The Peak District is situated mainly in Derbyshire in the North of England. The Peak District National Park was designated the UK’s first National Park in 1951 and is one of the top places to visit in the UK with an estimated 10 million visitors a year!

If you’re looking to escape the monotony of everyday life and escape to the great outdoors, the Peak District is the place to go. With stunning landscapes, an abundance of attractions including Alton Towers and Chatsworth House, miles and miles of walking trails, and some of the finest rock climbing sites in the world, the region caters for all ages and interests!

If you’re not sure where to stay when visiting the Peak District, why not stay in a pub? With so much to see and do from exploring the magnificent Pennine Way to sailing at Carsington Water, pubs offer guests the perfect base to explore this beautiful area of the UK at their own pace. Guests can start the day with a wonderful home cooked full English breakfast to set them up for the day, and then return in the evening to a delicious meal made from the finest locally source produce.

Unlike hotels or traditional B&Bs, pubs in the Peak District offer guests the chance to really experience the wonders of the region and as they are at the heart of many communities, can give guests a real taste of the friendly and sociable local atmosphere. In the evening many pubs organise evening entertainment such as quiz nights, live music, BBQs and beer festivals so guests don’t have to worry about finding somewhere to go in the evening. What’s even better is that with your room just above the pub, guests don’t have to watch what they drink and can really enjoy some of the Peak District’s and surrounding areas finest ales!
