Long Weekends In Northumberland

Northumberland is the most Northerly County in England and a land of great historical significance. Northumberland is a haven for walkers and those wishing to explore some of the UK's most stunning landscapes. Northumberland is home to Hadrian's Wall, a National Park and two Areas of outstanding natural beauty.

There is plenty to keep you busy, even for a long weekend. Try cycling some of the many cycle trails throughout the county, passing some of the beautiful heritage sites along the way, or walk them and take in the stunning scenery as you go.

A long weekend is a perfect amount of time to explore an area of Northumberland and pubs and inns here offer guests a range of accommodation that suits a variety of budgets and needs. Pubs today are a great alternative to B&B's or hotels and have great rooms and all the facilities that you would expect to find in modern hotels.

After a long day spent exploring the beautiful countryside in and around Northumberland, relax in the comfort of a pub with a nice cold pint of local ale and a fantastic meal to go with it. You don't have to worry about getting home as your room is just a stone's throw away!
