The area is known as the 'birthplace of Scotland' and at Dunnard Fort in Kilmartin Glen, visitors can visit the place where the 'Scots' settled from Ireland and later crowned the Dalriadic Kings in the 6th Century.

Argyll is situated on the west coast of Scotland and made up of rugged mainland and dramatic coastline. The Isles are made up of 25 uninhabited islands including Iona which is seen as Scotland's 'cradle of Christianity'.
