The region is steeped in history including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Old Towns and New Towns of Edinburgh which are a must visit. If you want to escape to the countryside for a few days then head to The Lothians. The Pentland Hills Regional Park has over 60 miles of footpaths that flow through leafy green forests and calming reservoirs. The Park also has Scald Law which is the highest point in the region at 2,000ft.
