Welcome to Carmarthenshire

Croeso i Sir Gâr

Carmarthenshire stretches from Carmarthen Bay in the south to the western Brecon Beacons in the north. The county is home to some of the longest beaches in Wales and makes an all-around great UK holiday destination.

There are plenty of Things to Do in Carmarthenshire and the county has a fascinating history. Of course, no trip to Wales would be complete without visiting one of the many castles on offer. Carreg Cennen Castle is situated 900ft above the River Cennen and has breathtaking panoramic views across the Preseli Hills in the west and the Black Mountains in the south.

Carmarthenshire is also home to the spectacular National Botanic Garden of Wales which was the first garden of its kind to be built in the UK in 200 years. There are a beautiful and historic double walled garden and futuristic glasshouse that house a variety of plants from around the world.

With a wide variety of things to see and do, why not stay in a pub in Carmarthenshire? Pubs are a great alternative to hotels and traditional B&B's as they are reasonably priced and yet offer a high level of service and hospitality.

Guests can choose from a variety of rooms to suit their needs from budget rooms that are perfect for walkers just stopping for the night, to more luxurious suites for those special occasions. Rooms are fitted with all the mod cons such as Freeview, flat screen TV's and modern en-suite bathrooms ensuring that guests have a refreshing and comfortable stay.

After exploring this magnificent region in the day, guests can unwind and relax in a cosy pub that is full of character and charm. Food is served throughout the day and is made from locally sourced, fresh ingredients.

There's also plenty of entertainment on offer in the evening at pubs in Carmarthenshire so you don't have to worry about finding somewhere to socialise. Pubs offer guests the perfect chance to really experience life in the county and meet locals and travellers alike.
