This great little award-winning Museum, aimed at 6 to 12 year olds and their families, has three fun and fact-packed galleries full of hands-on displays and activities. Peek into Roald Dahl's original Writing Hut, delve into his archive on touch-screen monitors, sit in his Writing Chair, make up your own Gobblefunk words and create your own stop-frame animated story.

There are always free craft activities on offer, and an exciting range of workshops, events, and free storytelling sessions are run in the school holidays and at weekends.

On-site, Café Twit serves a family-friendly range of home made food, whilst the shop is a treasure trove of books, toys, and gifts.
