Castle Hill house and gardens are steeped in history and have for centuries been a home to the Fortescue family. The current custodians are the 15th generation of the family to live in the house.
Although we do not open the House to the public, Lady Arran takes pre-booked groups fo 20 – 25 people for a personal tour around the house every year. These need booking at least 6 months in advance as they are very popular. Refreshments are available.
There is one item which is available for any member of the public to see – a George III Pier Glass. The viewing of this Pier Glass will not provide an opportunity to view the interior of the house and anyone wishing to see this item must write giving a minimum of two weeks’ notice and enclose their passport details.
