The Waterman is a modern-day meeting place and contemporary inn. It is open all day and is just a short stroll across the beautiful Midsummer Common from central Cambridge.
This fantastic pub has it all covered from craft beer, an eclectic range of wines & spirits, fresh flavour driven food and even a bed for the night should the stumble home feel too adventurous! Not only that, you can sample their wares in the sun-kissed courtyard, ‘Potting Shed’, pub or at their next door neighbour’s place, no. 30 coffee shop!
It sounds good, it looks good and it tastes even better! Nibbly finger food and bar snacks, sociable sharing platters, well-behaved salads, naughty gourmet-burgers and the odd nod to classic gastronomy in-between. They carefully source their ingredients, which are prepared and cooked right at the pub and there is not a microwave in sight!
The Waterman serve an array of fresh, futuristic and fun beers alongside some firm favourites to tantalise your tastebuds. They also flipp through some of the UK’s best craft beer and cider on the taps and encourage you to take a walk on the wild side and try something new - ask for a taster from the bar!
Nothing pleases this pub more than playing ‘mein host’ and helping you to create a memorable occasion for colleagues, family or friends. With so many strings to their bow, they hope they have the perfect space for you, and they are even more confident they can ensure you leave suitably fed and watered.
They have eight stunning contemporary bedrooms to throw in to the mix which suit modern day living down to a tee. Perfectly located for access to and from Cambridge North train station, the Science Parks, the banks of the river Cam, Cambridge airport and A14, and a short walk or cycle from Midsummer Common and the sights of Central Cambridge. They have foregone the trouser press, space-wasting, little-used desk and instead have created comfortable, engaging spaces which offer a flexible environment for you to relax or work in. All rooms have complimentary WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, Smart TV's, Roberts digital radios and en-suite shower rooms. All rates include a hearty and/or healthy breakfast at No. 30.
