The Brendon Arms has a stunning location overlooking Bude's inner harbour and is a stones' throw from Summerleaze beach.

This gem of a pub claims to offer the warmest welcome in the West, and it's true to its name. Its location, just off Bude's famous sea-lock, is minutes from the beach, making it a wonderful place to relax after a day's beachcombing or surfing. The bar is light and airy to maximise the wonderful Cornish light. Enjoy a pint of Cask Marque accredited real ale, brewed locally, seated in the Lifeboat Bar or in the pretty garden complete with harbour view.

Food-wise, the Brendon Arms offers traditional pub grub, with a focus on seasonal produce. We're pleased to see a selection of freshly caught fish on the menu, plus veggie dishes and gluten free options.

The 10 rooms are clean and bright, so that you can enjoy the summertime vibes for even longer. We like the fact that each room is named after a former lifeboat man; and as you'd expect, you'll get a great full English breakfast along with all your creature comforts, such as free WiFi, radio, hairdryer and a flat screen TV.

Looking for a function room? Then Brendon Arms fits the bill. With a newly extended, 52 seater dining area, it's ideal for seminars, wedding receptions and general life celebrations. Equipped with wireless mics and a large video screen, the friendly team will even throw in Skype, flipcharts and markers.

And if that all sounds too much like work, then make like the locals have done for 200 years and simply go from beach to bar in one of Cornwall's premier destinations.
