Originally built as a coach house in the 1700's, The Anchor Inn offers two well-stocked bars along with traditional inn-style dining and 6 comfortable rooms in the beautiful county of Durham.
The lounge and main restaurant area is large and spacious featuring traditional beams, natural stone walls and a log burning stove. With an extensive menu there is something for everyone. Dining at the Anchor Inn is an experience not to be missed. You can choose from old favourites to dishes with a contemporary twist – with locally sourced ingredients, each meal has been individually designed for customers to enjoy.
The inn offers 6 spacious bedrooms, with exceptional views across the surrounding valley. All the rooms have been individually furnished to the highest of standards and feature super king size beds. The rooms all have their own en-suite bathroom, with either a large walk in power shower or bath with power shower. Inside the room is solid oak furniture, wall mounted flat screen TV’s, WiFi access, luxury linen, black out blinds, robes, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh milk and mineral water, complimentary toiletries, hair dryers, hair straighteners, alarm clocks and fluffy bath sheets.
