The newly refurbished Queens Head Hotel is a 17th century Elizabethan inn, located in the beautiful and peaceful location of the Troutbeck Valley.
This stunning pub is located 4 miles from Ambleside and Windermere and is nestled on the side of the fells which overlook the Troutbeck Valley. It is just 1.5 miles from the former home of Beatrix Potter, and weaving footpaths link the nearby ancient hamlets.
The new Queens Head features a cosy drinking area with newly refurbished dining areas and 10 comfortable en-suite guest bedrooms which have traditional furnishings with a contemporary twist. The Queens Head is the perfect base for guests to Cumbria and, of course, their four legged companions.
Renowned for serving some of the finest food in the area, The Queens Head’s new menus highlight a mixture of homely classic pub food with a Cumbrian flair. (Please see the PDF menu attachments below)
Each bedroom comes with a multi-channel TV, free WiFi, facilities for making tea and coffee and there is plenty of space to park your car. 4 of their rooms are dog friendly and can be booked with a £10 supplement. Please note from 1st July to 31st October this pub operates a 2 night minimum stay policy at weekends. Breakfast is included in your stay.
So, whether stopping by for a pint of one of Robinsons award-winning cask ales, enjoying some wholesome home cooked food or staying the night, you are always guaranteed to receive a warm Lakeland welcome when visiting the Queens Head.
