The Devonshire Arms at Beeley, is a charming 18th Century village inn, located on the Chatsworth Estate. This inn is known for it's mouth-watering dishes, brewed ales and stylish bedrooms.
The pub is lucky to have one of those rare locations on the Chatsworth Estate where the beauty of the area is quite simply breathtaking. It is owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and is only a short picturesque walk from Chatsworth House itself and blends its idyllic village setting with contemporary comfort.
The main bar area showcases the character of this gorgeous stone built 18th century Inn. The ceilings still display the original black beams, flagstones worn down over the years adorn the floors and the large open fire continues to warm guests to the Inn. Newly refurbished the traditional oak bar blends itself perfectly with the traditional surroundings and serves up to six well kept changing local ales, several wines by the glass and a good range of malt whiskies.
During the day and evening the bar also serves light refreshments including tea and coffee. The Beeley dining menu can be enjoyed in the bar area, The Brasserie, or one of their outdoor seating areas. The Brasserie is a bright and spacious dining area located within the main Inn that can also be used as a private function space. Recently refurbished under the expert eye of The Duchess of Devonshire The Brasserie now boasts a traditional setting with modern décor which has created a delightful restaurant and function space for up to 50 people. The floor to ceiling windows allow natural daylight to fill the room and provide views over the stream in to Beeley Village.
The Brasserie also provides direct access to the also newly designed Garden Terrace providing extra seating with heaters if required. With ample seating, this area is delightful to eat and drink in, whether you are relaxing after a long walk around the Chatsworth Estate, or just to enjoy the beautiful and atmospheric surroundings.
The Devonshire Arms has fourteen supremely comfortable bedrooms, each furnished in their own style and equipped with lots of little extras to make your stay a truly memorable one. Expect large comfortable beds, luxury towels, wrap around bathrobes and freshly ground coffee in each room. They also accept well-behaved dogs in Brookside House only at £10 per dog per night.
