Situated in the quaint fishing village of Beesands, just a stone's throw from the beach, The Cricket Inn has earned a reputation as one of the best foodie pubs to stay at in Devon.
Not only does this inn boast an AA rosette restaurant offering delights from their new Josper oven, it also has seven beautifully designed bedrooms with king size beds, Egyptian cotton sheets and seaside touches. Stunning sea views can also be enjoyed from five of these rooms.
The recently renovated dog friendly bar and restaurant offers an excellent array of wine, with over thirty bottles alongside local ales and ciders. They also have a wide range of delicious, organic fruit juices from Luscombe’s organic range. For something stronger why not opt for a gin, they've got a great selection including their personal favourite, Salcombe Gin, served with a splash of Fever Tree tonic.
Their menu is designed around fresh, local produce with lobsters, crab and scallops caught directly from the bay. Specialities include the infamous seafood pancake, Josper-grilled steaks and kebabs with a choice of sides, whole barbequed fish and traditional fish and chips…to name just a few!
Breakfast at The Cricket Inn is so good that it’s been awarded a special accolade from the AA. Featuring home-made granola yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals plus a large cooked menu from kippers to a full Devon breakfast. A great start to the day, particularly if you wish to hike the South West Coast Path which runs past the Cricket Inn’s door!
