The Bearslake Inn is a picturesque, traditional thatched pub serving good, locally sourced food and offering quality accommodation in the stunning Dartmoor National Park.

They specialise in local produce. The South West of England is blessed with wonderful supplies of fresh meat, fish and vegetables direct from the farmer, fisherman or grower as well as a host of small artisan producers of cheese, ice cream and smoked products. Their shopping criteria is simple; best quality, locally produced, if not local then English. Sample menus can be viewed below this text.

Their seperate Stable Restaurant seats up to 40 people. Crisp white table cloths, napkins and comfy high backed chairs combine to create a special atmosphere whether your dining occasion is an intimate dinner for two or a larger group. They also offer the same menu throughout the rest of the bar areas, located in the old part of the 16th Century building which has granite walls and a lovely fireplaces.

Through the front door and turn to your right and you will find the Snug bar, where you can choose from a selection of the finest real ale in Dartmoor together with a fabulous array of beers, wines and spirits. Their large pub garden, with a babbling brook running through it seats circa 120 people and is located to the rear of the Inn with lovely views up to the moor across open farmland. On a sunny afternoon, there is nothing better than whiling away an hour or two by the babbling brook breathing in the spectacular scenery.

Their bedrooms are all individual in style and character. All rooms have a king size bed whilst two of them also have two singles beds and a third, one single bed making them perfect for families. Each bedroom comes with a whole host of little luxuries including crisp, fresh linen, fluffy towels, a TV, toiletries, WiFi and a hospitality tray. A full Dartmoor breakfast is included in your stay and three of their bedrooms are also dog friendly.

The Bearslake Inn and restaurant is situated in the hamlet of Lake in the North West corner of Dartmoor. Located between Okehampton and Tavistock on the A386, this pub is an ideal base from which to explore the delights of Dartmoor and Devon.The magnificent Sourton Tor, Corn Ridge and Great Links Tor are all just a walk away.

The Cider Press is situated on the first floor in the 16th Century Parlour wing to the front of the building. This is a double room with king size bed, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Oozing olde worlde charm you will sleep soundly in this comfortable bed as you dream of how life used to be when this was the farmers main bedroom. This room is not dog friendly.

This room stretches over most of the main part of the old building. You enter the room to a lobby with the en-suite bathroom with bath and shower to the left, through to the main bedroom and on to a second sleeping area. Accommodation is one king size bed and two single beds, making it perfect for families. This room is not dog friendly. Prices from £95 for double occupancy.

The Roost is accessed from the garden. This fantastic bed and breakfast room has a good view of the garden, across to the stream and on to farmland with Dartmoor behind. Accommodation comprises of one double and one single bed with an en-suite bathroom.

The saddle room suite is huge. There are two separate areas to the suite, one with double bed, seating area and dining table and chairs; the other with two single beds and seating making this room perfect for families too. The bathroom has separate bath and shower.
Access is from the garden with a view of the stream and across farmland up to Dartmoor. This room is able to accommodate dogs, with room prices from £95 for double occupancy.

The garden room is on ground level although there are a few steps to reach both the garden and the room. This is a bright cheery room with a view across the garden up to Dartmoor. This beautiful bedroom has a king size bed, en-suite shower room and is able to accommodate dogs.
