The Rose & Crown is a picturesque 14th century pub nestled in the heart of the Dorset countryside. It’s truly an old-fashioned local with beams, open fires and a beautiful garden with stunning views.
The conversion of the old cow byre at the back of the inn sees three bed and breakfast rooms with rustic charm and modern luxury. They are all finished to a high standard but as you might expect with boutique properties they each vary in size and aspect. Each room has the countryside on the doorstep with it's own patio area, luxury double showers, a top quality bed and all the mod cons. A perfect environment to relax and unwind in your own rural retreat.
Food & Drink
The kitchen team produce fine country cooking using all the local produce that the west country has to offer from Lyme Bay fish, Dorset lamb, Blackmore Vale cream to Dorset Blue Vinney cheese, local game and Somerset beef. All complimented by a selection of local cask ales, ciders and fine wines. We pride ourselves on sourcing the best local and seasonal ingredients that the west-country has to offer so as a result, our menu does change on a very regular basis so a sample of our recent menus are below. However, don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to plan a menu for a special event or have specific dietary requirements.
