The Royal Oak is a recently refurbished Grade II listed 16th Century coaching inn in the picturesque village of Bere Regis perfectly situated for exploring the Isle of Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast.

Located centrally to some of the south coast’s most beautiful scenery and popular attractions, good food, good beer and a warm welcome is assured at this family run inn. Monkey World, The Bovington Tank Museum, Corfe Castle and the famous Lulworth Cove on the spectacular Dorset coast, are all just minutes away. Traditional pub food is cooked and served daily in the bar, or you can take advantage of eating in their sunny beer garden or shaded courtyard. They pride themselves on being coeliac friendly with 80% of the menu suitable or adaptable to a gluten free menu. 

The Royal Oak’s relaxed atmosphere, friendly, hassle-free service combine with newly-refurbished bedrooms and bathrooms and a pretty location at the edge of an historic Dorset village to give you a perfect place to stay in the midst of timeless Hardy country. All of the beautifully appointed rooms are named after towns from Thomas Hardy novels and are fitted with en-suite bathrooms. Each is furnished with a television, tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. Free WiFi runs throughout the building. A delicious breakfast is included in your room price.

Other facilities include a large TV with Freeview, tea and coffee making facilities, free WiFi and a hair dryer. Trouser presses and irons are also available on request. This room is also suitable for families as the sofa converts to a double bed, supplements apply. Price includes a delicious breakfast.
