The George is at it's heart is a pub. Standing proud in the centre of the Harbour, it has been coaching inn serving drinks and giving guests somewhere to sleep since the turn of the 19th Century. The George boasts a 50 cover restaurant, 2 bars, 6 letting rooms and a garden terrace overlooking the bustling West Bay Harbour.
At Palmers, they produce a core range of five fine ales. All are brewed in the original Old Brewery at Bridport. They combine the finest ingredients with traditional methods that have built Palmers’ reputation since 1794. You can find a great range of Palmers beers at the bar alongside a selection of lagers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
The George have a wide range of starters, lite-bites, mains and desserts to choose from. Most selections are homemade utilising fresh local ingredients where possible from local sources within West Dorset and Devon. The homemade dishes have a loyal and enthusiastic following and they offer delicious flavours and healthy vegetable and salad accompaniments to all dishes. They also believe in giving customers a great dining experience, being served by excellent waiting staff at a very reasonable price.
