The Seven Stars is an country inn and restaurant located in the picturesque village of Shincliffe. They are ideally placed for a break visiting the wonderful cathedral city of Durham.

They are situated in a great location for experiencing the sights and sounds of North East England, a region that is steeped in culture and history. Located within Shincliffe Village you will enjoy the peace and quiet of the village where you will find many walks near the river, through the countryside, and leading into Durham City. You will also find a bus stop approx 100m from the inn where you can catch a bus directly into the city centre.

From Tuesday to Saturday they offer their main menu and daily specials at both lunchtime and in the evening. Additionally at lunchtime they offer a two or three course set menu and a selection of sandwiches and wraps. The Sunday menu is available in the lunchtime and evening. All the dishes are delicious and many of which are locally sourced. Food is served in the restaurant and also in the bar.

The bar is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks, casual dining or just to relax by the fire after a long day! They have a great selection of real ales, gins and wines. Well behaved dogs are always welcome in the bar.

The inn has 9 traditional individually decorated bedrooms made up of six double rooms, two single rooms and a family room. Each room has its own en-suite shower room facilities as well as a flat screen freeview TV, tea and coffee making facilities and free WiFi access.
