The Bull is a stylish pub who have recently been crowned "The Best Freehouse and Pub Garden" at the prestigious Great British Pub Awards 2019.

The Bull is one of the oldest buildings in Ditchling and dates back to the early 16th Century. This fabulous pub has been sympathetically restored and has open fires, cosy corners, bare floorboards, scrubbed tables and candlelight. There is a choice of 3 bars and dining areas, luxurious bedrooms, a huge garden and on your arrival you will be welcomed by friendly and knowledgeable staff.

They keep 3 cask ales, including 'Bedlam' from their very own brewery along with 8 independent craft beers and over 20 wines by the glass. They serve delicious, modern food with ingredients sourced from their own garden, the best local farm estates and short range boats landing 20 minutes from their door. Their menus change daily so please click through to their website and to their "Eat and Drink" tab to view.

Upstairs their individually designed bedrooms are inspired by personal journeys and experiences, accompanied by sumptuous "Cowshed" bathroom products created using natural botanicals. Their bedrooms have been renovated to the highest standard and have been voted in the UK's "Top 10" by the Sunday Times. Each room comes with luxurious beds, crisp Egyptian cotton sheets, deep sofas, smart TVs, digital radios and complimentary freshly baked cookies, whilst in their bathrooms you will find rain showers and sumptuous towels.

Their award winning garden is bordered by planting, fruit trees and a kitchen garden which supplies their chefs on a daily basis. The garden has it's own kitchen, where wood fired ovens and a charcoal barbeque allow you to watch your food being prepared and cooked.

This wonderful pub is a perfect retreat for visitors coming to the South Downs National Park and they are just 15 minutes from Brighton and an hour from London.
