The Argyll Hotel is located in the centre of Ullapool, a small fishing village on the scenic West coast of the Scottish Highlands.
They are a small but friendly hotel with only seven rooms, a mixture of doubles, twins and family rooms. They do not have any single rooms but can always offer a double or twin for single occupancy.
One of the best features of the rooms is the location. All but one of the guest rooms looks out over the loch giving stunning views of Loch Broom to the mountains beyond. In all but summer time these high peaks will be quietly snow capped; fishing boats bob in the harbour and once or twice a day the Calmac ferry arrives at the port from the Western Isles.
The hotel offers freshly cooked Scottish breakfasts including a full Scottish with local sausage and free range eggs, local haddock with poached eggs and scrambled eggs with Ullapool Smokehouse smoked salmon and porridge with cream and a nip of whisky! They also offer a full continental selection (seasonally) with fresh meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals and locally made muesli, pastries and artisan bread products, nuts, yogurts and fruit juices.
They are conveniently located in the centre of the picturesque Highland village of Ullapool in the area known as Wester Ross.. The region is one of the least spoilt natural environments in the UK, famed for its outstanding geology, nature, seascapes, wildlife and fantastic opportunities for walking, climbing and exploring.
