A fabulous country inn with its own great outdoors, the New Flying Horse is one of Wye’s most delightful pubs.
History, character and distinctive food and drink combine to make the New Flying Horse one of the most delightful pubs in Wye. Once you’ve sampled their delicious local produce, great Sunday roasts and authentic Kentish ales, you simply won’t want to leave – and thanks to their beautiful guest rooms, you won’t have to!
Picturesque inside and out, the pub boasts nine charmingly renovated guest rooms and an enviable countryside location - the perfect base for a weekend in Kent. All rooms combine beautiful traditional features with modern conveniences including TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee-making facilities – making for a relaxed and comfortable stay in Wye’s glorious countryside.
There are plenty of pubs in Kent with gardens – but none quite like the New Flying Horse. Part of the large garden is an authentic recreation of a Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner - Julian Dowle’s successful design “A Soldier’s Dream of Blighty”.
The Chelsea Pensioners’ Garden was created for the 2005 Chelsea Flower Show, with input from the Chelsea Pensioners themselves, and includes a Dig for Victory vegetable garden, a pond, a field of poppies and a miniature traditional English pub. A visual treat, it is the best place in Wye to eat, drink and relax in the summer sun.
