The Boars Head is a 18th Century country inn set in the small village of Long Preston.
Stepping inside, the warm welcome of the hosts is matched by the cosy atmosphere of the bar which offers a wide selection of drinks including six cask ales and numerous malts. Popular with locals and visitors alike, the bar offers traditional pub games to try your hand at including darts, dominos and cards. Dogs are very welcome too; there’s usually one to be found in prime position next to the roaring log fire.
The bar serves up traditional pub food favourites such as fish and chips, pies and Yorkshire ham with eggs. However, if you’re looking for something a little more gourmet, then the specials board, which changes on a daily basis depending on the locally grown produce available, is just the thing. This is where the experienced chefs can demonstrate their finely honed skills and there’s always a treat in store.
The 6 en-suite bedrooms offer a home from home look and feel having been lovingly refurbished by the owners. Expect lots of personal touches from ornaments and prints, to fabrics and bedding making them a welcoming and comfortable place to rest your head. Each room has a flat screen TV, tea & coffee making facilities and a well-equipped bathroom.
Long Preston is situated in the stunning Yorkshire Dales countryside and visitors can enjoy glorious walks from the doorstep with easy access to a wide range of country pursuits. The market towns of Skipton and Settle are within a short drive away.
