Details

The Black Bull Inn is a 17th Century traditional coaching inn located on the edge of the North York Moors.

This friendly inn offers a warm welcome to those looking for a good night’s sleep or a hearty meal. Open 7 days a week, and serving food all day, there’s a large, buzzing restaurant as well as a quieter bar area for those just wishing to enjoy a drink. Dogs are welcome in the bar area where they can curl up and enjoy the heat of the roaring fire.

The landlords pride themselves on the quality of the food and the extensive menu pulls hungry customers in from far and wide. They are well-known for their giant loaf tin Yorkshire puddings, but they also serve a range of delicious burgers and mouth-watering vegetarian and vegan options. The Sunday carvery is extremely popular and can be enjoyed by all the family.

Situated separately from the main building, the inn’s 5 bedrooms are simply but stylishly decorated with feature wallpaper, king size beds and ensuite bathrooms with power showers. Parking is available directly outside the rooms. All rooms are equipped with digital TVs, tea & coffee making facilities and plenty of storage for overnight bags and clothes.

The Black Bull is located 1 mile from Pickering and 8 miles from the market town of Malton, perfectly situated for some of Yorkshire’s best loved historical landmarks such as Castle Howard and York Minster. The coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough are a short drive away, and the thrills and spills of Flamingo Land theme park and zoo is on the doorstep.
