The Buck is a traditional English pub located in the centre of Thornton le Dale, a village nestled in the North York Moors National Park.
The team at the Buck take customer service seriously and are dedicated to providing a friendly and relaxing environment. The pub has 2 bars, and the décor is cosy and welcoming with exposed brickwork, a wood-burning stove and deep, soothing wall colours. Cask Marque accredited, you can expect a good range of locally brewed ales and the knowledgeable staff will be happy to let you try a couple to help you find your favourite. Dogs are very welcome in the bar area as well as in the large, sunny garden during the summer months.
The food at the Buck is all hand-cooked on the premises and served with easy Yorkshire charm. We hear that their pies are a bit of a must and Sunday lunches are extremely popular with the locals.
There are 3 en-suite bedrooms, all of which are simply but attractively decorated and benefit from lovely views down through the village and over the meandering stream. The rooms are good value and come with everything you’d need for a peaceful night including complimentary toiletries, fresh linen and a cracking breakfast to fuel you up for the following day.
