This 17th Century stone built Inn offers a welcoming bar area with a wood burning stove, a cosy dining room and a beautiful sunny garden. Their delicious food is hearty, homemade, locally sourced whenever possible and reflects the seasons. Their signature steak and ale pie is simply scrumptious and they serve authentic Thai cuisine on Tuesdays and Saturdays, an early bird menu from Wednesday to Saturday and curries on Friday nights.
Their bar serves a selection of local real ales, including Wye Valley's Butty Bach, as well as smooth bitter, draught stout, dry cider, lager and a good selection of wines. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the beer garden, some areas of the bar and within the accomodation areas.
The Castle Inn have 5 well kept en-suite bedrooms located in a quiet annex which are privately accessed by steps leading up from their beer garden. In the morning enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast together with cereals, fresh fruit, and juice. They are also happy to pack you a lunch if you are planning a day of walking or cycling and dogs are most welcome for a small additional nightly surcharge. (please bring your dog's bed with you)
