Situated on the old Fussell's Brewery Site in the heart of Rode, this old 17th century country Inn has a warm, welcoming and cosy feel to it.
This old country Inn has many lovely features to enjoy, one of which is the working Queen Victoria Golden Jubilee Clock. The en-suite rooms overlook the courtyard that leads out to the car park from which private access can be gained.
The restaurant seats around 50, the menu traditional and dress code informal. The two bars serve a wide range of quality beverages and are frequented by the locals who make all the guests welcome, great for the lone business person.
For business guests they can commute to Bath, Frome, Trowbridge, Bradford Upon Avon and other local sites and for holiday guests, Longleat, Bath, Cheddar Gorge and many more attractions are within easy driving distance.
Breakfast is available at £7.50 per head which includes cereals, juice, full hot English breakfast, toast, jams and tea or coffee and is served at a time to suit you Monday - Friday 7.30- 9.30 & Saturday-Sunday 8.30-10am.
Private Access can be gained through our Courtyard which is handy as the car park backs on to it so during ‘closed’ time you can still come and go as you please.
Lunch and Dinner are available in our Restaurant – 12 – 2 pm and 6.30 – 9pm – Weekend guests please reserve a table as we do get very busy but we will always squeeze you in but then you could incur a wait.
Check In is from 1800 hrs and Check Out 1100 hrs – however upon request you can have access to your room between 1300 – 1430 hrs
PLEASE NOTE: As there are stairs leading to the accommodation from both outside and inside the pub, any disabilities should be considered before booking. Also access to our common areas also involve steps which for some may be difficult to overcome. Please contact us with any questions and we will do our best to help you.
