Sitting right on the High Street in Cranleigh, The Richard Onslow is a busy pub with great food, 10 beautiful bedrooms and is conveniently located near to Guildford.
This fabulous pub has retained the period features of this historic building and the modern and unfussy approach to decor, service and food will give you the perfect place to celebrate, spend time with friends or simply unwind with a coffee.
Their head chef and his skilled brigade devise their seasonal menus and a range of tempting daily specials. As well as celebrating the increasingly-vibrant British food culture, the focus is on seasonal ingredients sourced locally wherever possible.
All of their meat is British and of the highest quality, from Aubrey Allen. This 80 year-old Warwickshire butcher supplies many of Britain’s finest restaurants as well as holding HM - The Queen’s Royal Warrant. Their steaks are from Britain’s finest beef herds, 28-day dry-aged for stupendous flavour. Their Cotswold White chickens are free-range, as are the eggs, pork and ice-cream. Their lamb is Cornish and the fish native where possible, and the pub follows the ever-changing advice on sustainability.
As well as serving their full menu at lunch and dinner, they have hot fresh food available throughout the day. Starting with eggs and fresh sourdough bread for breakfast, accompanied by quality Union coffee. They also serve cakes and a range of sandwiches and light hot dishes whenever you need them.
This pub also has well-kept real ales on tap, as well as guest ales. Their continental beers and lagers include Peroni and Estrella Damm as well as Guinness. They are serious about spirits too - Tanqueray London Dry Gin and Ketel One Vodka are their current favourites for pouring. They also make a great selection of classic cocktails. Their wine is chosen by Jo Eames, co-owner of Peach Pubs, from three multi award-winning suppliers, Tanner’s of Shrewsbury, Liberty Wines & Boutinot.
