The Royal Oak Inn is at heart a country inn, serving honest food made with the finest local ingredients; a gateway for those seeking peace, quiet and an indulgent escape from everyday life…

This pub is a true dining destination and they are proud holders of two AA Rosettes. Their menus change with the seasons and reflect their love of contemporary British food, which they source locally from their countryside surroundings wherever possible. If you’d ever like to know the origin of one of their ingredients simply ask a member of their friendly team. Their love of all things local extends to the bar, where you’ll find a choice of local ales as well as an extensive wine list and selection of spirits.

Rated five stars by the AA, this pub offers high quality drinking and dining alongside five en-suite bedrooms and three lovely cottages. All of their accommodation boasts scenic country views; whether overlooking surrounding farmland or the Sussex Downs, so there’s a real sense of retreating away from the bustle. Whichever room you choose, you’ll find everything you need for a peaceful, restful stay, including power showers, Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy bathrobes and aromatherapy toiletries. Stay connected to the rest of the world (if you like) with complimentary WiFi, iPod docking and flat screen TVs, or find entertainment in the selection of books and games they provide. Two of their cottages are dog friendly - please note there is a small extra charge of £15 per dog, per night.

The Royal Oak have five en-suite bedrooms all combining warmth, comfort and cosy country style with modern necessities such as iPod docking, complimentary WiFi and flat screen TVs. All of their accommodation boasts scenic views either over farmland or the Sussex Downs. Power showers, espresso machines, mini fridges stocked with wine available to purchase, Egyptian cotton sheets and fluffy bathrobes all come as standard.
Finishing touches include local aromatherapy toiletries, DVDs, books and games.

Across the road from the pub they also have two self-catering cottages, each featuring a full kitchen, private terrace with seating and two bedrooms. Two of their cottages are dog friendly - please note that there is a small extra charge of £15 per dog, per night.
