Details

Originally a traditional coaching inn, The Angel is now a fully modern hotel providing superb, en-suite accommodation, a traditional bar and delicious, locally sourced food.

Whether it's a quick meeting with friends, elevens's, a business lunch or a Sunday roast for all the family, you can always rely on The Angel to be open just when you need them.

Generous, unpretentious and prepared to perfection from a light bite to eat during the day to a romantic candle lit dinner in their oak panelled dining room, all of their food is freshly prepared using local ingredients wherever possible. The emphasis throughout is on quality, freshness and taste and they recently received an AA Rosette for culinary excellence.

A pint, glass of wine or morning coffee, the choice is yours at the bar at The Angel. Their relaxing lounge is ideal for meeting up, browsing emails or reading the papers while enjoying a freshly made latte. In winter, their real fire provides a welcome retreat from the cold outside.

Their bar offers something for every taste and thirst. Choose from their house beers, plus a constantly changing range of guest ales. Their selection of wines by the glass is also extensive with a very good choice of fizz and champagnes, plus for G&T fans a wonderful list of premium gins to try with Fever Tree tonics.

The focus of their bedrooms is comfort, from Vi-Spring beds and Egyptian cotton linen to individually designed fabrics, colour schemes and bespoke furniture. All en-suite bathrooms have baths with showers. A continental breakfast is included in your stay.

The Angel also caters for functions. They will do their utmost to guide, advise and help you plan your important events which include fabulous weddings.
