Delicious fresh food, amazing wines and bedrooms to die for, all enhanced by a marriage of medieval architecture and contemporary design.

They are fiercely proud of the food they serve at ‘the Welly’. They use as many regional suppliers as we can in order to obtain the best raw materials and the freshest ingredients. Every dish is then created and cooked on the premises and theyare very proud to have been awarded one rosette from the AA for each of the past three years.

They don’t believe in doing fussy and complicated things with these delicious ingredients, but instead would rather they were treated with love, brought to the table just as they should be and complimented by our amazing wines. The pub are fortunate to have a close relationship with Chester Osborn – d’Arenberg winemaker extraordinaire – so the wine list includes the whole d’Arenberg collection, plus a few other chosen wines from across the world!

Keep an eye on the boards above the fireplace for the ‘Fish of the day’ and the ‘Vegetarian Dish of the day’ as these dishes change daily – they sometimes change in the middle of service! They also have monthly specials, usually four starters and four main courses – usually this is where our Head Chef and his team unleash their creative side!

And if you want to stay the night with them, they have six bedrooms, each of them unique and gorgeous.

Join them for a meal, stay for a while…
